Although I have returned from Korea for about a month plus 2 now, I still miss that country so much. Prolly because of the madness shopping spree I had la.
But still, I'm gonna blog a bit about the places we went on our 12 days trip to Korea.
One of them is the Korea Palaces.
Their palaces are so huge, and we walked 2 palaces within a day. We're superheroes or what, my legs were aching so badly after that. HAHA
The first palace we went to was Gyeongbokgung Palace.
(Gyeongbokgung Palace Station, Seoul Subway Line 3, Exit 5)
The admission tickets were about 3,000 won for adults, but we were in groups of 10, so it is a bit cheaper of about 2,400 won.
There are also royal guard changing ceremony at various timings of the day. :)
The second palace we visited was Changdeokgung Palace.
(Anguk Station, Subway Line 3, Exit 3, and just keep walking straight!!)
We attempted to ask an ahjumma about the directions to the palace (which was just continue walking straight), she told us we were in the wrong directions and asked us to reverse.
!@!$^*)$%$&U&%
Okay probably communication breakdown, let's give each other some benefits of doubt.
For Changdeokgung Palace, the palace is famous for the secret garden tour.
The secret garden is a garden constructed under the instructions of the King as a retreat for the royal families. It is still not accessible to the public, only by tour.
Therefore, before the tour/ trip, be sure to book the tour online via
& print the tickets to make payment @ the counter!
Price: (admission to the palace and the tour) 8k won for adults.
Gorgeous elements in the secret garden, however the steps were steep and advisable to wear sneakers/ shoes during the tour. :)
post cr: Dorothy/Bel/ Cherie for the itinerary
Hope this post is helpful (to anyone out thr hehe)
Till then, xx
