01Nov started off so well I'm beginning to look forward to the rest of the month,

although I have no activities on hawhawhaw. 

First was ofc knocking off work @ 345pm sharp, and my 2days consec off commence. 

Dang dang dang. 

Went home prepared and met Alan for super late dinner/ dessert(for me)/ beer sesh while waiting for M.

I have always loved Brotzeit's German beer, they are so smooth and not so gassy nor too cold for consumption! 

I ordered the one with a dash of mango syrup (forgot the name....). It's so sweet ahahaha my fav.

不是酒鬼妹 hor.

but I regretted getting the 0.3L when obviously I should get the half pint cause it is too smooth.... 

My handsome date for dinz. See how long more you can keep your hair ah alan!! HAHAHA

While waiting for the food to be served~~ 

I ordered my favourite warm chocolate cake, and it was served with Stracciatella ice cream. Whoever can ever resist WARM CHOCOLATE CAKE?!?!?!?! not me i guess.

WQ and M came shortly after Alan finished his main and waited for us to finish our meal before we head off to our next destination.

WQ just can't stop candid shooting me I think I look like a XMM here shanks.

Canvas was one hell of a night with only two words to describe the scene.

Packed (like sardines), and

FUN.

(Probably it's the companion which makes everything damn worthwhile. (thankyou.))

Me and Vince got reallllly bored waiting for the others and hence started standing like a statue to see how long will it take for them to notice our existence.

Drinking @ the bar was so hard we had to walk to boat quay, which is fortunately a short distance away, and drank there before heading back to canvas. 

We continued drinking when we were back in canvas anyway. Downed too many shots/ beer last night I got home STILL high.

 KL, who is always disturbing me. and um Miso's hand if I must mention.

Guess it's gna be a 1 month or 2 hiatus from party life since I will be heading to London next month, but still, thankful for their companion last night. (L)

Fickle

Title explains my current feeling.

Kept questioning my decisions recently and it's annoying me.

Like for eg, dentist asked which colour do I wanna wear for my braces during today's appmt, 

and I chose pink.

Then I decided to change my mind and got purple.

Purple bands shall be.

And ofc this isn't the only example lah. 

To end the story, Im just so annoyed.

This week has been by far okay.

And I said okay because it's fairly interesting, with a lil bit of fun here and there piecing up my entire week.

Work is ... as usual, with the increase in demand recently, I'm still strangling to cope with the stress.

Times like this make me doubt my passion in the industry.

Can I even manage this?

Met up with T&B twice this week since the botaks are on their leave. 

Tues was dinner @ Holland V's thefatcat. 

I had minced pork with basil rice, and I would say it's pretty decent for a mixed cuisine restaurant.

They serves western, northern Indian, and Thai cuisines. 

I always assumed that for a restaurant which serves many different types of cuisine, their food might not taste as delicious as those restaurants which are specialized in a particular cuisine. 

The restaurant def proved me otherwise. :-)

 Dessert/ ice cream was @ the daily scoop.

Need I mention anymore? The strawberry short cake is still my ultimate choice.

The waffles are also very good!!!! Super fluffy!!!!

However the airconditioning was tooooooooo cold for us to stay in there for long.

Thursday night meet up with entire T&B and Kelly & Benji.

We had Ban Heng @ Orchard central.

The buffet was a little bit disappointing but then again it would be unfair if we're comparing the food with the Cathay Restaurant for the price we're paying for.

I guess we're still gna stick with our dinner @ Cathay Restaurant. :/

I had so much fried food from ytd's dinner to the extend I'm having a mild sorethroat today.

Today is boring.

Literally did nothing productive (As alwayssssssss) for my off day. HAHAHA

Except for.... going to the dental and having scaling n review. 

I swear I hate scaling. HATE.

It's so frig painful esp at the front parts of my teeth. Thus I always hate it when my nurse reminds me that it's time of the month to do scaling :'''''( 

It's okay since I'm over it. 6 months time before I start complaining again. Heehee. 

Went back to SP today to collect my Fire Safety Cert and visit Gina a while.

Some random updates.

1. Early recontracted my mobile plan and upgraded my phone to Samsung Galaxy S5.

Mixed feelings about this phone. The display is so freaking clear I love it so much, 

& ofc new battery means longer battery life which can last me up to a day even with (quite) constant usage of the applications (eg. ig, whatsapp, fb, and music player)

I hope this lasts. 

One downside of the phone is the front camera. 

As compared to my S3, I think that S5's front camera captured too much light during low light times (or smthg), making the photo really blur and of low quality.

:'( No wonder my friends who are using note 2/ S4 says that my S3's front camera is really good.

I really agree with this now :'''''''''(

The back camera however is of amazing quality, no doubt. :')

P.s./ showing this is original size to show how clear it is. I think if I were to use this camera to take a selfie, you could see all my pores and blemishes. Hahahaha.

Overall, I would rly rate Samsung S5 a 9/10 (1/10 for the front camera quality).

2. Dinner Buffet @ Concorde Hotel Spices Cafe

Revisiting the cafe after 2 years with my colleagues yesterday, and I would say I really love the dinner spread.

I'm very sorry for the lack of photos cuz I was too busy munching away.

The buffet includes a serving of Lobster baked in cheese or a serving of abalone for every pax.

It's a pity I didn't take the photo of the lobster hahahaha it's too good I just had to eat it the moment it was served! 

And also local delights, seafood and crabs. 

HAHA sorry only photos of my favourite chocolate fondue and desserts. Will never fail to be in love with every stick of marshmallows coated in chocolate fondue hahaha.

Anyway the dinner buffet is going at 3 free 1 for various cards like POSB, DBS, CITIBANK and (uob I think??)

3. Posh brownies

Visited P.Osh Brownies @ dhoby exchange w Jessy yesterday while waiting for the other colleagues to join us, and gotten my favourite Mint E Chocolate brownie.

Err.. not a very appetizing photo but everything still tastes as good together?? 

The brownie is best eaten fresh, like straight away after the brownie is handed to you, because the brownie is warmed up and it tastes just perfect!

(I'm really a loyal supporter of P.Osh Brownies for years now by the way.)

4. F1 Event

Died at work yesterday even when I only took one floor cause of the heavy departures while preparing for the arrivals of F1 events.

DIED. 

My legs were so sore from the walking of rounds, and preparation of the Presidential suite.

Life is gna be a lot better for the next 2 days but Monday, could you be easier on us?

Weekly update/ ft Birthday & Graduation

 Sorry for the lack of updates.

Work has been overwhelming, every off day I just wanna sleep my day off. 

But I can't. :'(

So anyway, I got rejected by both unis which I applied for, and thus decided to sign full time with my current company. Xfingers I won't ever regret this decision...

26/05-

My birthday! 

The day was enriching for me. I learnt towel folding which are a norm for wedding rooms or honeymoon rooms.  

& on top of that I was pretty lucky to be able to end work on time since the departure was low that day. :)

Washed up and head to town alone while waiting for ws to come along after camp.

Chilling @ starbucks with my fav drink, and my birthday cake. :> 

I was soooooo sleepy but luckily I managed to keep myself awake till he arrives.

When he arrived, we were walking around town looking for fc's and my (muahahaha) present.

I got myself a Marc By Marc Jacob's watch while a Fossil watch for FC.

Famished, we head over to Ippudo @ Mandarin Gallery for dinner!

I love the appetizers! Especially the Gyoza, it was pan fried til crispy on one of the side, and not entirely burnt. *Thumbs up*

The ramen was however disappointing, a lil salty for me though.

Guess what's for dessert? Cold stone! :> (no photo though)

But still, thankful for ws for spending my birthday with me treating like a princess (hahaha he's the eunuch)

Woke up quite early that day and head over to ICA to collect my passport, Paya Lebar post office to mail brother's items, and etc.

Head over to town aftermath and had a small catch up with Jocelin, 

Over Ayam Penyat stall @ Far East Plaza! 

I would say I love this meal a lot. We had gado gado, and ayam penyat of one serving each individually. 

I haven't had gado gado before, and it taste like mild curry with vegetables and crackers, a different kind of "salad" I have ever tasted.

And ofc, my second tasting of ayam penyat (first in Batam). 

The chilli was SUPER hot I swear, but I do love how the chicken was fried till perfection. Not too dry and not too oily, just nice. :)

Dinner @ night was at Huay Kwang Thai Kitchen, Upper thomsom with the clique to celebrate mine and FC's birthday. 

Btw, the mookata they had over there was traditional, whereby charcoal was used and oil may splatter all around etc, and you can never find it at Golden Mile anymore.

The buffet dinner was about $20++ excluding drinks (which might amounted up til $30plus),

which I find it quite worthwhile unlike the mookata I always have in Golden Mile. 

Rhys was also very thoughtful to get us Chocolate Origin fudge cake, which was very nice!!!!!! :')

Graduation day with my favourite T&B/ entire school of ABE. 

Our graduation ceremony was the first batch aka 930am. D: 

 Thankyou for coming all the way down fifi! 

 My "mum" and "dad" whom I gave my tickets to. HAHA

 BFF for making her way down too! 

 Super uber nice captain anyone would ever have!!!!! 

 The oh so popular Gabe :) 

& also saw En who was waiting for her friend. :) 

The sun was so scorching hot I was kinda annoyed especially when my feet were aching from the heels, and I was in formal and grad robe blablabla....

Changed up and had our lunch @ Big O Cafe (Paragon) with T&B!

 There were set meals for lunch, which includes a drink and a soup. 

I had this seafood linguine which doesn't really taste very nice.... :'(

 But I swear the desserts were to die for! Especially this!!!! Mud cake with a shot of baileys. It's super delicious!!!! (Like icecream lah hahaa)

 Black forest cake. I haven't had a good one in a long time!

And Cheesecake with a shot of baileys. 

I would really recommend this cafe for their desserts!

Activity after that was K sesh @ Family Karaoke Box, Cuppage Plaza.

( realise we sing K everytime we celebrate BB's birthday, hahaha)

It was SUPER CHEAP!!!

We had 7 Pax, and first three pax was $10 each, and $5/pax thereafter. 

KOD was $2/pax, and tentatively it was for 3 hr, but it would be for continuous usage if there are no bookings for the rooms we were using. 

Each person were given a free drink each, and in every room, there are 2 battery operated mics, 2 wired mics, and 1 mic on a "stage" 

Look how engrossed BB was.... HAHA

We had so much fun till all of us were sleepy tho. Thankful for this group of people in my life!

My only two off days of the month!!!! :''''''( This month schedule is super hectic with lotsa OTs since we were super understaffed. But hang in there shulian!!!! 

A real short meetup with Jy, for lunch and also my health checkup. 

 Lunch was at Clifford Centre, Platypus Test Kitchen.

 Smoked Scallops Risotto, risotto was going @ $3 off per order

 Mushroom soup

and Jy's meatball penne pasta. 

There were a communication breakdown, as they had ran out of the side salad but it wasn't communicate well. I was halfway through my lunch was wondering where's my salad?!! 

And upon asking, they told us that it had ran out and willing to refund us. 

Overall, I would rate this meal a soso, cause I couldn't find scallop in my risotto leh. :'(

After health checkup, I brought jy to One Fullerton to have cakes :)

Of course nothing but the famous Lady M cakes! 

Jy had the cheesecake while I had the green tea crepe. I love the crepe! It was so delicate and I don't bear to eat it okay?! 

The price was however pricey, includes a 10% service charge and 7% GST, but sometimes it sure is good to pamper ourselves right?
